Ita's work derives from personal experience, she tries to project a feeling of contradictions 'hiddeously sublime.'
Ita believes that these qualities are all around us, even as children the stories we read are small insights into into the beautiful and sinister world around us.
Ita's method of escapism shows a unique insight into her imagination. Inviting questions and curiosity into the artworks, she wants everyone to be able to relate to the work and feel provoked with emotion, even if that's not a personal feeling but a connection with the character.
' I often combine my own experiences with the world of fantasy to explore narrative and metaphor through illustrations and three dimentional artwork'
